Birthday Wishes...

Hello. Well, we made it back home last night safe and sound. My grandmother is still hanging in there, thankfully, and she looks a lot better than she did the last time we were there. Hopefully, she'll be able to leave the hospital to go to another facility (rehab, nursing home, etc) before the end of the month.

Anywho, today's card is for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge seen here:

And also this week's fabulous Curtain Call Challenge colors:

I love those colors. They are so deep and pretty together. I did not have the tangerine ink (Yet!!), so I used that for my paper, but I am really happy with the results.  I used my new Waltzingmouse Holiday Labels No. 14 that came in the mail while we were away...yippee! So, here you go:

Isn't it huge?? LOL! When I first saw the sketch, my brain immediately thought of doing another long card like this. They take up a lot of paper, but they are really fun to make.  Not so much fun to photograph, though I did like it in front of the new faux flowers my mom bought at a yard sale this weekend for my dining room table. :) The Holiday labels are just so perfect and they take ink VERY well. I love how the chocolate brown just pops on there. I used a sentiment from (say it with me...) Teeny Trees and it fit perfectly.  I'm not sure what else this card "needs", if anything. I mean, it feels complete to me, but maybe something on the brown? I put the pearls that to add some interest, so I think I'm good with it. Well, that's all from me. Starting a new week isn't always fun, so I better get some coffee in me and battle the Nashville traffic...ok, so there really isn't much traffic in Nashville, but you know what I mean. Hope you all have a great day!

Many Blessings....

Hello everyone! Today's card features Teeny Trees again. I know, I know...you saw it Friday, but once I picked it up there was no putting it down..lol. I just love it. Anyway, so I made this card to fit within the Color Throwdown challenge this week. Here are the colors we were to use:

And here is my card:

I really like how the colors all came together. The colors seemed less Fall-ish when I first looked at them than they way they look on the card - which is great. I hope you're all enjoying your weekend. Take care..

Everything...

Hello, everyone! Thanks for dropping by. I SO appreciate all of you who faithfully (and not so faithfully..lol) drop in to see what I've made.

Today's card uses the 2S4Y sketch. I have never played along with this challenge, but I notice so many people do so I thought I would give it a go this week. Loved the sketch! Here it is:

And here is my card:

I just love these colors together. Really kinda out of my comfort zone with the pink in there, but I think it works. I just love my little stampin up butterfly die..it makes the cutest buttterflies, don't you think?
Well, that's it for me today. Hope you're having a great weekend.

Friends Always..

Hello! Another weekend is here, right? Love it! We're headed out of town this weekend...visiting my grandmother again. :)

Today's card is a fave of mine. I love the colors and the set - Teeny Trees by Waltzingmouse - is fabulous!! I really see so many possibilities in this set. Everyone should own it! :)

I created this card for the Play Date Cafe challenge  this week.

The Play Date Cafe colors/inspiration photo is here:

Here is the card I made:

Aren't those trees so fun? And there are so many of them from which to choose! Really fab set..a staple, really.

Well, that's it for me. Time to head to work and then head out of town. I have some posts scheduled, so you don't have to miss me over the weekend..lol. ;)

You make me smile...

Hello and Happy Wednesday! I hope you're all having a great week. I made today's card and I *think* I may have my mojo back. It all fell together quite nicely once I got started. The loosely sketch follows this weeks Mojo Monday sketch, seen here:

I tried to stay exact with the sketch, but it just worked better this way. Hope that's okay! :)

Here is my card:

Here is a closeup of the ladybug spots. I added crystal effects to them.

More crystal effects on the flowers, too!

I also have another card to show you that. Yep, that's right...tonight's a two-fer!

I made this card for a friend who has lost an aunt unexpectedly, not too long after losing both parents. Ugh..it's just a really difficult situation. :(

It doesn't fit within any challenges or anything...I just made it with my heart.

Ok, well that's all from me tonight. Hope you are having a great day. Get some rest - tomorrow night is the Papertrey release for October! Woot!

Twinkle, Twinkle

Hello everyone! Gosh, it's Tuesday already? I have been really sick since Sunday afternoon and unable to stamp. I have just had NO mojo at all. Even tonight, I'm still not really able to produce anything that I "love". Oh, well. I made this baby card for this weeks Curtain Call challenge.

I thought the colors worked well for a new baby boy.

I think next time I would stamp the image in blue just to give it a little more presence on the card. The blue isn't the "right" blue. I used Brocade Blue instead of Marina Mist because oddly enough, I have none of that color. Me thinks it's time for a supply run at Stampin' Up! LOL

Hopefully, i'll be feeling more like stamping tomorrow and i'll be back! Laters!

Stamps: Little Star (plain jane from Verve); A New Little Someone (stampin up)

Off the Wall expressions..

Good Sunday morning to you all! Today's card is for this weeks Off the Wall Craftiness challenge. Let me just say that I LOVE these colors together. They work VERY well together. I'm not sure I would ever pick these colors by myself, but oh I for sure will now.

Anyway, so here are the yummy colors from this week:

And here is my card:

I truly love that Timeless Textures set from Skipping Stones. I got the idea of putting the design just in the corner from this card by Ashley Cannon Newell. Lovely, right? Her stuff always is..anyway, so I hope you like the card and that you'll play along with the Off the Wall Craftiness challenge this week. I won last week, so I am super stoked! :) Laters!
