Magic Wand....

Hi guys! I SO wish I had a magic wand to get me out of this little creative and overall funk. It took me ALL dang day to make this card. Ok, so I stopped for a while to take Ava to Hollister, but other than that..ok, and did some laundry..but other than THOSE things (lol), I have been trying to create ONE card that I was happy with. If you're a facebook friend of mine, you'll remember that my plan today was to get out of this and create one card. Well, I suppose I met that goal. It was hard, though! Normally I post everyday, but I haven't done anything since Tuesday..ugh, this stinks! :(

Anyhow, you didn't come here to be Dr. Banner to my Fifty (um, never mind..it's a piece of fanfic..lol), so on with the card! I used this weeks Waltzingmouse Sketch

and the colors are from the Cupcake's Creations Color Challenge.

This is my first time playing along with the Cupcake Creations challenges..I really like this weeks colors, don't you? There is still another week to play on this one, so head over there and check it out.

Ok, so here is my card:

I used my new My Favorite Things Rolled Flower die with my Papertrey felt..it was heavenly to quickly diecut and roll up that little ditty...really cute, eh? Gosh, actually I used a few different brands this week. The background stamped image is by Skipping Stones..the sentiment is Papertrey..the little squigglies under and over the sentiment are Waltzingmouse! Neat..

WEll, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving if you're in the States and a great weekend overall whether you are or not. I really miss stamping, but i'm just not sure HOW to get back into the swing of things. For those interested, i've talked to hubby a few times since he has been gone and we've Facetimed which is so cool! :)

OK, well that's it from me today. Hopefully, i'll be back tomorrow! (Cross your fingers on that one) Laters!

Christmas Greetings..

Well, hello! I am SO late with this post. I lost total mojo today and just decided to laze around and watch football and nap the day away..lol. It was so much fun! :)

Today's..er, I mean, tonight's card will be one of my Christmas card designs this year IF I can find more of these envelopes. Anyone know where I might get some? They are made of vellum and have adhesive on the back. I found them at a yard sale, but there was only one little sheet of them. Let me know if you have ideas on where I might get more.

I used this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge seen here:

And I also used the Color Throwdown colors from this week, seen here:

And here is my card:

I just love that little envelope! The paper is the Jolly Holiday paper from SU and I just adore it. I must get more soon! :)

Oh, and we did NOT get to go on our date night last night. Hubby was sick by the time I got home and so we just stayed home. :(  Oh well...maybe next weekend. If not next weekend, though, it'll be sometime in June! Ack!!

Well, Oregon and USC are starting so i've got to go! Oh, and come back tomorrow for my Off the Wall Craftiness card! ;)

My Hero...

Hi everyone! Good Sunday morning to you guys. Well, needless to say the cleaning went just fine yesterday. I am not sure if that is because I stamped for most of the day and then hurriedly cleaned up or because I realized that the house was in actuality already clean..lol. Either way, today is 60 people in my house day! Woot!  I'm looking forward to it, though..should be fun.

So, today's card, as I told you yesterday, is for the Off the Wall Craftiness color and Waltzingmouse Sketch challenges for this week. So much fun with this sketch. It appeals to me in a very simplistic way. First, here is the sketch:

It is just so fabulous. It can be used for just about any kind of card! Really nice.

Ok, so here are the Off the Wall Craftiness challenge colors for this week:

When I saw these colors I immediately thought of the military and my DH who is leaving in a few short weeks. I thought I would make him a card to give before he leaves. It's always such a chaotic first few weeks when he is gone. I'm so used to being able to do "my own thing" sometimes (like stamping in peace!!), and that's harder to do when I am the one in charge of dinner or whatever. Anyway, here is the card:

So, you likey? Let me tell you a little secret. The camo background? That is one of the images from the Waltzingmouse Teeny Trees set!! I stamped it in creamy caramel, old olive, and chocolate chip and just randomly placed it on the white card stock. I think it turned out fabulously! Here is the image I used:

If you have the set, it is the one at the top left side. Total fun discovering this little trick! I was quite giddy and happy with myself...lol.

Well, that's it from me today. I hope you have a wonderful day!  Tomorrow, come back for more fun with the latest Papertrey Blog Hop. This time we are celebrating other religious or cultural holidays such as Eid, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa. Check out the Papertrey site for more info.

Laters!

Card Stock: White (papertrey); Old Olive, Chocolate Chip (stampin up)

Birthday Wishes...

Hello. Well, we made it back home last night safe and sound. My grandmother is still hanging in there, thankfully, and she looks a lot better than she did the last time we were there. Hopefully, she'll be able to leave the hospital to go to another facility (rehab, nursing home, etc) before the end of the month.

Anywho, today's card is for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge seen here:

And also this week's fabulous Curtain Call Challenge colors:

I love those colors. They are so deep and pretty together. I did not have the tangerine ink (Yet!!), so I used that for my paper, but I am really happy with the results.  I used my new Waltzingmouse Holiday Labels No. 14 that came in the mail while we were away...yippee! So, here you go:

Isn't it huge?? LOL! When I first saw the sketch, my brain immediately thought of doing another long card like this. They take up a lot of paper, but they are really fun to make.  Not so much fun to photograph, though I did like it in front of the new faux flowers my mom bought at a yard sale this weekend for my dining room table. :) The Holiday labels are just so perfect and they take ink VERY well. I love how the chocolate brown just pops on there. I used a sentiment from (say it with me...) Teeny Trees and it fit perfectly.  I'm not sure what else this card "needs", if anything. I mean, it feels complete to me, but maybe something on the brown? I put the pearls that to add some interest, so I think I'm good with it. Well, that's all from me. Starting a new week isn't always fun, so I better get some coffee in me and battle the Nashville traffic...ok, so there really isn't much traffic in Nashville, but you know what I mean. Hope you all have a great day!
