Play Date Wishes...

Hi there! Is it Sunday already?  Where oh where did the weekend go? At least we gained an hour this morning...i'll take extra hours whenever I can get them.

The card I made today is for the Play Date Cafe challenge. Here are this week's colors:

Are they not so pretty? I really love that kinda off color peachy orange..it's a very soothing color. I decided to focus most on the green and use my Great Friend set again.

I combined it with a sentiment from Waltzingmouse's Teeny Trees. The font in that set is soo cute. Almost like real handwriting. I also used my Square Lattice folder again. Gosh, I don't think my Cuttlebug has seen as much action as it has since I got that folder. It's just so perfect. I try to use others, but well...here we are again. :)

Well, I'm off to church. Hope you guys have a wonderful day! Laters..

Stamps: Great Friend (Verve); Teeny Trees (Waltzingmouse)
Card Stock: White (Papertrey); Certainly Celery, dsp (stampin up)
Ink: Basic Brown, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie (stampin up)

So Thoughtful...

Happy Saturday everyone! Thanks for the well wishes yesterday on my banking situation. I *think* it is all worked out now as far as new accounts and getting my online places (i.e. stamping shopping sites..lol) all updated. :)

So, today's card is for my husbands boss.  She went to the Philippines last month and brought me back this fabulous little necklace. I thought it was so very sweet of her, so this is the card I made for her. She loves my cards {blushing} and so it makes me feel so happy to make one for her. I hope she likes this one..I sure do! I used the colors from this week's Off The Wall Craftiness challenge and am so in love with them. I'll be using them again, for sure. I love how the colors just make each other pop that much more. Really cool. The only thing is that I can NEVER get Early Espresso to photograph properly..not sure what I am doing wrong. :(

So, here are the challenge colors:

And here is my card:

I hope you like it. I FINALLY bought Great Friend from Verve and let me tell you..those flowers are SUPER easy to cut out. I think that's what took me so long t buy it. Even though I loved it, I hate cutting things out. These babies cut out like butter. Really cool. I also used a couple of LOVELY Papertrey stamps. I used Fancy Flourishes for the little swirl behind the flower and Signature Greetings for the sentiment. I just love those two sets...so very versatile!

Ok, well that's it from me. I hope you have a great Saturday. Come back tomorrow for my Play Date Cafe card. :)

Stamps: Great Friend (Verve); Signature Greetings, Fancy Flourishes (papertrey)
Card Stock: White (papertrey); Jolly HOliday dsp, Early Espresso (stampin up)

Christmas Blessings...

Hi everyone! Well, it's finally Friday, but I am NOT feeling particularly happy. :(

I discovered yesterday afternoon that someone had hacked my banking account and wiped me out! It is really awful and I am having to scramble to change everything (including my paycheck..ack!) and get it all together before bill paying day comes back around. The account is closed, BUT I still have lots to do to get everything back on track. I am SO bummed. Oh well.

Anywho, on to happier things. My card! Ok, you guys KNOW how I love playing with ribbon and in my head I am always thinking of new things to try with it. Today, I decided to extend it a bit and have a little fun with it. Here is my card:

I just love the fun colors and those polka dots are so yummy! I am NOT a fan of polka dots usually, but lately I think they're starting to grow on me. Funny how things do that, right? :) I used this week's sketch from 2S4Y, but took a liberty or two with the ribbon as it is not -technically- a part that should be there. Here is the actual sketch:

The die and stamp are new from Verve! Aren't they so cute? They were just released last week and arrived in my little hands today. I couldn't wait to use them. Ok, well i'm off to work now..and then to the bank to deal with the craziness. One good thing, though...at least my orders from Verve, Papertrey, and The Twinery were safe from the thievery! ;)

Stamps: Sweet Scallop Tag stamp (Verve)
Card Stock: Kraft, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Jolly Holiday dsp (stampin up)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive (stampin up)

Grateful..

Hi everyone and thanks for dropping in today! Today's card uses this weeks sketch from Mercy Kerin. Here is the sketch:

I really liked using this sketch. I like multiple panels..they're so much fun! I also thought I would try one of the flowers from Laurie's tutorial again since I am, obviously, the only one that cannot get my flowers to work..lol. I think it came out ok this time. Not perfect, but better than the last 20 that are in the garbage. {smile}

So, here is my card:

I really love working with Smokey Shadow card stock. The color just goes so well with other colors, do you agree? Here I used it with Rose Red (another favorite) and I like the way it came out. This was my first time using the "row" of bling. I've used the individual pearls before, but never the ones that are already strung together. I like them, though. All in all a fun card to create!

That's it from me. Have a wonderful Thursday! Laters..

Card Stock: White, Smokey Shadow (papertrey); Thoroughly Modern dsp (stampin up)

Refuge & Strength..

Hello there! Ahh, Wednesday. It's almost the weekend again, right? Gotta love that. I just love my stamping time, don't you? Do you guys stamp everyday? I do. I have to...it's my quiet time in some ways. I mean, I have the TV on or my iPhone playing music, but it's still kinda like MY time to just be in my own little world.Ava usually comes in with me and we talk and share and watch TV or whatever. It's just a part of my day that I SO look forward to.

Today's card is for two challenges. The Curtain Call color challenge and the Moxie Fab World Challenge "Diggin' on Damask".  In the Moxie Fab challenge, we were to incorporate Damask into our project somehow. I used patterned paper to bring in my damask (am I the only person who loves saying that word?). The Curtain Call challenge was to use these colors:

Here is my card for these challenges:

I must say that I absolutely LOVE these blossom nesties. They are just so dang cute, no? I'm also finally learning to shade these things! I've had the hardest time..it's definitely a learning curve. Some folks make it look SO easy!

Well, that's it for me today. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday! Laters...

Oh, one more thing.... did you see that I was a favorite this week on the Color Throwdown blog? Ack! I was so excited to see my name up there. :)

Thinking of...cobbler?

Hi! I just cannot stay away from this color. Every day, it is the first color I reach for and then I make myself put it back.  Do you have colors like that?  I never have until I ran into Cherry Cobbler. No, I won't pretend that it is TOTALLY because of the color, cause I am a fiend for cherry pie and cobbler, but this color is just such a perfect red. Ahh..anywho, todays' card for the Mojo Monday *contest*. On the first Monday of every month, we stamp for prizes and not just fun. Check out the blog for more info!  Here is this week's sketch:

I decided to go really simple with my card. Here it is:

I love the way Soft Suede looks with this color. In my picture, it's more of an army green but in person it's more brownish. I added some labels 4, fancy ribbon, and a little bling and I was good to go! :)

Hope you guys are having a great week! Only a few more weeks until Thanksgiving! Woot! Laters...

Wishing you the best...

Hi all! Today's card is for the current Off The Wall Craftiness challenge. The color are typically seen as Halloween colors, but my card isn't a Halloween card. I made mine out to be either a wedding card or just a general well wishing card. Here is the card:

And here are the challenge inspiration and colors for this week:

Honestly, I am not a huge fan of Halloween. I like it for the kids, but for me it's not so big on my list anymore. :) Because of that, it was nice to make this into something else other than a Halloween card.

Well, that's all I have for today. I hope your week starts off great and continues that way. Laters!

Card Stock: White, Orange Zest, and Bitty Dots orange polka dot paper (papertrey); Black dsp (stampin up)
