thanks so much..

Happy Saturday, everyone! Hope that your weekend is going well so far. Have you guys discovered the Friday Mashup challenge blog? I did last week and it's a really fun challenge. You have choices each week on what you do. One or both of the challenges they put forth can be on your card. This week, the challenge is to use their sketch, seen here:

and/or to use dry embossing on your card! I decided to do both and came up with this little number:

I used the PapertreyInk Woodgrain embossing plate on the scallops and the flowers (from Verve's Great Friend set) and I really like the way it turned out. The colors in the paper are really pretty together and I added a little Crystal Effects and a pearl to the flowers for a little more eye candy...just a little. :)

Well, that's it for me today. One week and 3 days until hubby comes home from his current deployment, so we're running around preparing for that! Yay! Thanks for stopping by!

Congrats on being at the end of a deployment! I remember those days well and like Holly said, for me those last few weeks seemed to go by SOOOOOOO slow, I didnt think hubby was ever going to come home, lol.
