Baby Beckham

Hi everyone! Just stopping in with another card for the baby! My mom always wants names on her cards and I'm always faced with a long name like Beckham that won't fit on a regular card. So...I decided to make the card a Hallmark card size and then pick up a store bought card just for th envelope..lol. i used my new script alpha dies from Papertry. Soooo cute and easy to use. Check it out:

Thanks for stopping in!

Retro Sketch - Baby

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday. So far, mine has been great. Just came from my monthly massage and hubby is grilling brats. Then, in an hour or so I have a Premier jewelry party to go to and then hubby is cooking dinner. This day should be sweet! :)

So, this morning I decided to play along with the Retro Sketches for this week.
I have a baby shower to go to tomorrow, so I thought I would go ahead and create a card for the little one. I still haven't decided whether or not I am going to make a matching bag...I guess that depends on the type of gift I get...which I have yet to do. LOL

Here is the card:

I have had that stamp set from SU for years and years. It is still my favorite baby set. I think it is called A New Little Someone. JUst love that bunny and the little booties, too!

Thats all I have...I hope you have a great weekend!

Papertrey Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog. I've been away for a bit, but managed to find my way back. I am joining in on today's Papertreyink blog hop. The challenge was to use black backgrounds, etc on your card. I decided a guy birthday card was in the works since that's something that's always sneaking up on you. Anyway, here is my card:

10 minutes, eh?

Hello! Last week I started seeing posts about a 10 minute challenge. I thought, " hey, I can do that". I found the challenge on Paulina's blog: Pretty Pink Posh

So, I got my supplies together and had at it. Here is my card:

Ok, let me just say that 10 minutes comes way quicker than you'd expect. This card took 9 minutes 37 seconds. The longest part was embossing the grey circle. Not sure why I thought that was a good idea, but there it is. :)

I hope you're having a great week! Laters!

and the other is the Friday Mashup whose challange was to do a birthday card AND use brads.

My thoughts

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday to ya! I just got to work and grabbed a cup of coffee. You know, work coffee is either good or really bad. I had a cup last week that was heavenly and today I feel like I am drinking liquid mud with cream. Grr.

Anywho, today's card is for two challenges. The first one is the Pink Elephant challenge.

That just looks scrumptious, right? I decided to make a little "thinking of you" card using my Verve "Always on My Mind" set.

This card also uses this week's Mojo Monday Sketch:

I flipped it on its side a little and came up with this:

I just love that Trendy Trees set from Papertrey. Just adorable! Well, have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Make it Monday

Hello! This is my second post for the day. I wanted to play along with this weeks Make it Monday challenge over on Nicole Heady's blog.

This weeks challenge was to emboss in layers. So embossing over embossing. I have a very limited supply of embossing powders, so I knew pretty quickly that it was going to be clear, white, and/or black...lol. I thought I would try my hand at a sympathy card. Here are my results:

I am also using this card for this weeks JUGS color challenge

I love these colors together! Have a great Monday!

Healing wishes & a question!

Good morning! Ah, it feels soo good to be off today. Our weekend was packed and that is the complete opposite of out normal weekend. I got my hair cut (don't like it), Ava got her hair cut (adorbs), we went to the movies, the mall, out to eat, we were just EVERYWHERE! If weren't off today, I'd be a force to reckon with at work....ok, maybe I wouldn't. LOL

Anyway, I am playing along with Retro Sketches again this week. They have some seriously great sketches. Here is this weeks sketch:

And here is a get well card I made with it:

I really like those colors together. The Fine Linen and Early Espresso really complement each other. Well, that's all I have today.

Question: I am working on my photography skills...not quite there yet.  Do anyone own a light tent or an Ott light or how do you take YOUR pictures? I need some tips!

Hello, you

Good morning, everyone! I hope you're all having a good Saturday so far. We went to see Silver Linings Playbook last night. If you get the chance, GO see this movie.  It was so so good. Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence were outstanding. We really loved it. Anywho, I am going to get my hair cut this morning.  I have not done that since like 2008. I hate going because they never get it right. I think I am going to go for a bob with a side bang...we shall see. :)

On to today's card. I am playing along, once again, with the ladies at Color Throwdown. Here are this weeks colors:

So pretty! Here is the card I made:

Really fun card. I love working with the scallop die from Papertrey and the little heart with twine behind it..well, I got that idea from this card of Amy's. It so adorable, don't you think?

baby baby

No, this isn't a Justin Bieber themed post (though he will be in Nashville this weekend!!), I just couldn't think of a better title for my little creation...lol.

I am playing along with the CR84FN challenge this week and the colors are so gorgeous. I could work with this combo for days and not tire of it.

I decided to make a baby card for a friend who's having a little boy soon! I just love this little elephant from Verve!

A really simple card! Hope you're all having a great day!

For Mom

Good morning, everyone! I've had the flu since Saturday morning and it is not fun. Plus, I'm a mean sick person so it's hard for people to feel for me...lol. Maybe not mean, just bratty. :)

Anyway, yesterday was my Mom's birthday and this is the card I made for her. I used my Verve flowers from Great Friend (possibly my favorite flower set on Earth) and my Papertrey Inside Out: Birthday (my favorite "collection" that Inside Out is).

I also sent flowers and I'm not sure what else we are doing later in the week when we are all better.Maybe cake? Who knows. Well, hope you all have a great day!

key to my heart

Hi everyone! Quick post as I'm running late for work and feeling rather poorly. I made this card for this weeks Retro Sketches challenge. I just LOVE this sketch

I decided to make a Valentine's themed card a little early. :)

I had never used that Papertrey Lock & Key set. It is a fun little set with lots of possibilities...especially if you have the matching die. Well, i'm out of here..laters!

Cool Chick!

Is the weekend gone already? Really? Ah well, another day another nickel..lol

Today, I am playing along with Color Throwdown.

I could NOT get Easter and spring out of my head when looking at these colors, so that's sort of the direction I went. I used one of my cute Verve sets, Chicks Rule, and made a sweet little pastel number.

I think it's completely outside of my realm when it comes to colors. I find myself drawn to neutrals, but this was really fun to make. I haven't used Almost Amethyst in, I know, 4 years..lol. Anyhow, play along if you can..you have until Tuesday, I think.

Mashup!

Hey everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday. I managed to wake up with the cold/flu that my family has had all week...yay. :(  At least it's the weekend, so I don't have to miss work, right? :)

So, on this rainy Saturday I wanted to play along with Friday Mashup. I hadn't played along with them in months and months. Today's colors/mashup are soo beautiful. Here is the challenge:

I decided to use three of the colors and do a pattern. Here ya go:

I absolutely love the bold colors. This is a combination I will definitely use again! Thanks for stopping by...play along if you can!

baby boy

Hi! Happy Friday!! This weekend, Ava and I are having a girls weekend! Not sure what we are doing, but I am pretty sure it will include movies and Murder, She Wrote. Hubby bought me the entire series on DVD and I am in heaven. It is truly my favorite show ever!

Today's card uses this weeks Colour Q colors...

I immediately thought of a baby boy card. I did, however, have a hard time incorporating the gray....of course, that's why it's called a challenge, right? :)

Here is my card:

If you cannot tell, the basic gray is behind the white panel. The button is also basic gray. :)  This was a fun little card to make...now just to find a pregnant friend!

I hope you guys all have a fabulous weekend. Talk to you soon!

happy, happy, happy, happy, happy!

Good day everyone! I am so enjoying stamping again. You know how sometimes you just have to take a break from things? That's how I felt for a while. Something told me not to sell all of my stuff, though...lol

So, anyway today I am playing along with Papertreyink's Make it Monday challenge. The challenge was to "create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and one of the rainbow color schemes illustrated above along with a repeated die-cut or stamped image". I decided to use this rainbow:

And here is my card:

I really thought this card would be easier than it was. I think I went through a pack of colored paper...lol. Anyway, hope you like it. Thanks for stopping in!

Simply Fabulous

Hey ladies! Thanks for stopping by. I'm so excited for this card.  I just love the way it turned out..just like I pictured in my head.  Don't you love when that happens?

I am playing along with a challenge that I've not ever played. It's called Retro Sketches. This weeks sketch  is just adorable and its from a card that Kasia made last year.  Here is the sketch:

And here is what I did with it.

And yes, once again I am playing with the "u" from Verve. I really like how this card came out. Hope you do,too! Laters..
