Ok, so when I woke up this morning and saw this week's Make it Monday challenge, I was a little bummed. I don't really own any reinkers. I have two SU ones and 2 Papertrey ones - and one of those is black. I really did want to try the challenge, but I just could not think of a way to incorporate the colors I had.
I sat down at my craft table and immediately thought of Polka Dot Basics. I had an idea in my head and it was awesome. Well, I think we all know how that goes sometimes. That idea I had? Well, it's STILL in my head. This is a close representation, but it didn't quite stamp the way I thought it would. Perhaps it was the fact that I didn't have any foam..or because I gooped too much reinker out. Either way, I am kinda diggin' the card in a funky, messy, ink all over my hands like I am in Kindergarten kind of way.
I stamped using SU Black and PTI Smokey Shadow kind of all mixed up a bit. I was going for a more gradient look. It made more of a grunge dot look, though. I also used my Raspberry Fizz reinker for the "Merci" and a little Fresh Snow on the edges. It's definitely one of my more funky cards. :)

Funky? Yes! A mess? No way! This is a great take on the challenge Keva. I like the "less than perfect" bits..it adds character!
I love it! Hot pink and black are always a winning combination. I only had two shades of green, so I know how you felt! But I made it work too... Fabulous card!
I really like the look you did with this technique. It shows you can do this without running out to the Local craft Store.
It's a GREAT funky, though. I love it! The black, white and hot pink are hot, hot, HOT!

Keva, this is AWESOME!!! This is no where near messed up! This is incredible! Those black polka dots are FANTASTIC!!! This color combo is AMAZING! Great job! I know what you mean though, I don't own any reinkers too so I have to work around that :)
Keva.......I just love this! I also love the "not so perfect" look it has goin' on! Of course, the hot pink, black and white are just amazing together! Love it!
