Look who's turning 5!

Ok, well actually no one is turning 5. At least no one I know, but I like the number 5, so here we go...lol. This card is for this week's MIM (Make it Monday) challenge over on Nichole Heady's blog.  The challenge is to use distressing on our card.

Here is my fun little kiddie birthday card!

Isn't it so fun? I love the My Mind's Eye paper and the glittery 5. I used scortape on the red card stock and then diecut it with my Papertrey numbers die. Easy Peasy! I hope that you can see the distressing. I distressed the orange circle and the red panel at the bottom. It's slight, but there. Here is a close-up for you:

Tonight when I stamped I listened to Adele again, but the fun papers overtook and the card did not turn out somber, right? ;)  So, have any of you guys who didn't already know and/or love her take a listen? Do you love her now? :)

Well, in case that performance did not wow you, here is another. I think song is my favorite on the new CD and makes me cry each time, especially when I see it live, like this:

Ok, so back to crafting. Hope you liked my card and that you have a great week! Thank you for stopping in. Laters!

Stamps: Big Birthday Wishes (Papertrey)
Card Stock: Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Sage Shadow (SU); Alphabet Soup Boy (My Mind's Eye)
Ink: Real Red (SU)
Extras: Aqua Mist ribbon (Papertrey); Twine (The Twinery); Scortape, glitter, buttons (Papertrey); Arrow (My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup Boy)

Your card is so cute. I love that you don't know anyone who is turnig 5 but made it because you like the # 5! That is just fun, like your card.

If you can make this while listening to Adele, then I'm not so afraid to listen while I craft. Your card is great, that PTI ribbon goes perfectly with the MME paper.

Keva, super cute card, but what made me laugh was the fact you made a card for a 5 year old and don't even know one! That cracks me up. That 5 is pretty darn cute.

Such a cute happy card, but if you were listening to that song while you were making it, I'm sure the ribbon is covering up a wet spot from a tear drop! And yes, I loved her before, but I love her even more now. Awe to the sum.
