A Cheerful Friend..

Hi everyone. Quick post today as I am still sickly. Thanks for all of your "get well" messages. That warms my heart! :)

Today's card uses this week's fabulous Verve sketch. This weeks sketch is brought to us by the uber talented, Charmaine. Here is her sketch:

I really thought it would be easy to pull off, but it wasn't. I don't think I have developed the knack for mixing patterned papers as much as I would like to and I'm not quite sure it worked here. Ah well, I do love the fun cheeriness of it, so that's something. :) I also love that little button that i've had, and wanted to use, forever. I have several of them. They're like jean buttons and they're kinda decorative and cute, but I don't remember where I got them! Ugh!!

Anywho, here is my card:

That's all I have for today. I hope you guys have a great Friday! We have the Twilight Convention here this weekend, so I simply MUST feel better.

I can't stalk Peter Facinelli with a cold now can I? I mean, look at this face:

Wow. Ok..lol..well, that's all from me. Thanks for stopping by!

Keva, I simply MUST disagree!! I think you did a TERRIFIC job of choosing (and placing) your papers!

Funny thing, I have a packet of "like" metal buttons, and I don't remember from where I acquired mine, either! (Maybe, ebay?)

Anyway, your card is lovely! I, especially, like your die-cut sentiment panel and button-ribbon accent.

I am a new subscriber who LOVES your creativity!

Hope you are in "stalking shape" SOON ~

Those buttons are fabulous! I am envious of your ability to use patterened papers. Also love your one ended bow!

And yes get better soon, but I don't think Peter will mind though!
He is pretty yummy, even with that terrible blonde do he sports in Twilight!

You rocked the patterned papers and colors Keva! I have such a hard time working with brights, and you pulled it off beautifully. I also have a hard time stamping a sentiment in colors other than black/gray or white. LOVE this!! Great job!

So Keva, the guy is gorgeous, so's the card. As soon as I saw it, Maile's new set jumped into my head. Don't you think that patterned paper kind of reminds you of the stamps in her new set? I hope you're feeling better. Illness doesn't seem to affect (effect?) your cardmaking skills one bit.

Lol, I just used these papers today too! And you did a fine job putting them together. I have been a verve slacker, I need to get it together and do these sketches.

I think you did a great job using the pattern papers and colors with the sketch. Sorry to hear you have been sick. I hope you will feel better soon and will be able to go to that convention. I am totally into the whole Twilight thing now too.

Gorgeous card! But I have to comment on your "other" photo! Oh. My. Goodness. He is HOT! I almost didn't recognize him without the blond hair! How was the convention? That would have been a blast!
