Hi and thank you for dropping in! Today I have my card for this week's Make it Monday.
The challenge was to use Cracked Glass as our technique. Oh gosh, this is one of my favorite techniques ever! I used to use it all of the time but now that my craft room is upstairs and the freezer is downstairs, I don;t use it so much. It's funny, because when I saw Heather's video it dawned on me that it wasn't really necessary to put the image in the freezer! I do it because it cools down more quickly for me and I am quite the impatient stamper, but you could just let it sit overnight or whatever if you wanted. :)
I decided to use the new Papertrey anniversary set called Botanical Silhouettes. I really really REALLY love this set The flowers are just perfect and I love the font on the sentiments.
Here is my card:
This was such a cool color combination for me. Smokey Shadow is a really nice color and paired with Baja Breeze and Vanilla is just perfect! Here is a close up of the "cracked part":
Well, that's it from me. Take a gander at all of the entries for this week's MIM and give it a go!

I love this, Keva! What a great color combo, I love the text paper and wonderful use of the anniversary set! By the way, I just let mine cool for a few minutes sitting on my table, and it seemed to work ok! :)
Gorgeous card Keva. Love the textures, the flower image... great colors too. :o)
I can't wait to try this... {love} your card!
Keva this card is jaw dropping gorgeous! I LOVE the color combo and layout. I have such a difficult time using circles like this on my cards. Gotta remember this one:)
Beautiful! Love the flowers on the book print and the colors too. I was going to try this technique then I could not find my UTEE. I just ordered some though so hopefully I can try it soon.
Ooooh! So beautiful! I like how you did the cracked glass technique but kept it 'modern' if that makes sense at all. It looks like a frosty windowpane as opposed to an antique photo, know what I mean? Well, regardless of how I try to explain it, it's gorgeous. Great idea of putting it on bookprint too.
Great card! Love your take on the cracked glass technique!
Isn't Smokey Shadow fabulous? It make the impression on the Baja Breeze just pop. And using text under the image and cracking is genius.
What soft and soothing colors on this one Keva. I love it. I really liked the three circles and the bookprint too.
Keva this is FANTASTIC! I must try this technique!!
Have a GREAT day!
