earthy christmas

Hey guys! Thanks for dropping in. Ok, is it really the time of year when you get nothing done? I sure hope so because that's how I feel! The days are really starting to run together and I am beat most days by the time I get home. We don't even have the Christmas tree up yet! Maybe tomorrow....

Anywho, today I have my Color Throwdown card for this week and decided to try and make a simple card. What I didn't count on was the number of vanilla sheets I would go through trying to line up the tree with the die..lol. Ah, well...here are this week's colors brought to us by the fabulous Lynn!

And here is my card:

When I first saw the colors, I was worried I could not be able to work with them. Primary colors and I do not get along well. The colors always make me think of trains and little boys...lol.  I finally changed my thought pattern and went for light touches of the colors instead of a massive dose. That, I thought, I could live with...and I was right. I really like how the card turned out. I hope you like it!

Well, that's it for me today. Hope you're having a great week! Be sure and stop in and see what the other DT members made and then play along with us this week. You KNOW you have a Christmas card or two you could make. ;)

Keva, your card is lovely! I love how it turned out, too! I think you do primary colours just fine. :-) I love this colour combo. I'll try to find some time to join in the fun this week at Colour Throwdown - see if I do the colours justice. ;-)

Worth every sheet of Vanilla sacrificed in the process! :) This is terrific, as all of your projects are. I hope things settle down for you and you get to enjoy the season; definitely a challenge, isn't it?

This is a gorgeous tree Keva, you shouldn't have said it took you more than one try, we all wouldn't have guessed it because your care looks immaculately embossed and stamped. Love the woodgrain with the tree.

Very striking, it really turned out great. I would never have thought to use the woodgrain emboss in that maner. TFI
