Sending Cheer..

Hi!! *waving*
Happy Saturday! I hope wherever you are, you're staying cool! It's already 80 degrees here and it's only 9:30. Gonna be a scorcher as per usual in TN. I'll be staying in all day, so no worries for me. Oh..well, I do have to check the mail so i'll be out for a moment. ;)

Today, I have a card that I just love. As soon as I saw this week's Card Patterns sketch, I knew the card I wanted to make and it came out EXACTLY as I had it in my head.

First, the sketch:

And now, my birthday card:

I really adore this color combo. I actually picked the embellishments first and worked from there to the base card stock and then the patterned paper. While I would have put the blue and brown together, without seeing that MME paper I never would have thought to add the orange but I think it looks great!

Well, since I am in a "zone", I better get back up to my crafting room and see if I can crank out anything else. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the weekend!

Stamps: Hello, Friend (Papertrey)
Card Stock: Early Espresso, Summer Sun (SU); Mabel Stella Rose patterned paper (MME)
Ink: Early Espresso (SU)
Extras: Prima Flower, White ribbon (SU); Blue ribbon (Pink Paislee); Linen impression plate (Papertrey)

Don't you just love when it happens like that - you see something, think of something and then it works? I love the ribbon ruffle, it's so pretty.
