Baby Cakes

Hello and welcome to another week! Here in Nashville we got SNOW! Can you believe it? Here are a few of pictures of our front yard:

And one of the backyard:

And yes, I know that this amount of snow is piddles for some of y'all.  But here? Well, here it is huge and garners all sorts of school and business closings.  Ava and I woke up simultaneously at 2:30am just to watch the Snow Report and see if "we" were out..lol. We had already put all of the spoons in the house under our pillows (which may explain why we awoke at 2:30. You cannot sleep very well on a pillow of spoons..lol), pajamas on inside out and ice cubes in the toilet! We're so dumb, but hey..it worked! LOL.  I just love snow! I also love snow days! ;)

So, today's card is using a newer challenge for me. I've only participated once before, but it's really a great color challenge. You guys should check it out if you haven't. It is the CR84FN challenge hosted by Mona Pendleton. Here are this week's colors:

I immediately thought an Easter card would be cute, but considering it's nowhere close to Easter I went with a baby card..lol. I've had this Taylored Expressions set for months, but have never used it. It's such a fun little set! Here is my card:

This was a super fun card to make. I fussy cut the items "hanging" on the clothesline and paper pieced them so that the flowed better in terms of colors. I also used the grass and clouds from an older PCD set called "You're Dandy".

Ok, well that's it. I am going to stay in my jammies and get some hot tea and maybe read a book. I haven't read "Rooms" in a while, so maybe i'll read that again. Hope you guys have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: You're Dandy (PCD); Hanging Out (Taylored Exprresssions)
Card Stock: White (papertrey); Lovely Lilac, dsp (SU)
Ink: Basic Brown, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, Lovely Lilac, Baja Blue
Extras: Glitter and Old Olive grosgrain (SU)

Love your snow pics Keva! I'll bet you and Ava totally worked your magic with all those spoons, inside-out PJs and ice in the toilet! I've never heard of ANY of those customs, but then again, we've never had to wish for snow here either! LOL

That card is simply adorable. The bear hanging on the clothesline is just tooooo cute!
