Hi everyone. I have a splitting migraine tonight, so this will be short and sweet. I made this card for Mercy's sketch this week. I like how it turned out...a little busy, but cute still..lol.

Wedding Wishes....

Hello everyone! Well, it is the last day of the holiday weekend and I have had a great one. We went to the Parthenon here in Nashville (um..well obviously not the real one..lol) and had a nice time. It was beautiful here on Saturday and even though I am not one to really be outside of my own home, it was actually good to get out and get some fresh air.

Today's card is for a cousin who is getting married soon. I wasn't sure about their colors, so I went with this grey/vanilla/pink scheme. I really like the way it turned out.

I used today's Mojo Monday sketch, which was really great.

 I don't have any "tag" dies per se, so I used one of the Labels 4 nesties and just attached it below the ribbon. I also took a stab at putting their initials inside the rings. I used letters from a couple of the sentiments in Love Story by Verve, but since there was no "C", I had to just kinda mask off the "A" and go with that. I think it works as a "C", though, don't you?

Well, that's it from me. I think I am going to chill out the rest of the day and enjoy the last few hours of nothingness! Have a great rest of the day!

Make a Wish....or 2 or 6..

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday! It's nap time at our house, but I have been hard at work on a card that has had me go through countless sheets of card stock and more glitter than necessary.  A little backstory here: So this morning I woke up at 6 and decided to see what the Curtain Call color challenge was this week. I saw it was this:

Ok, kinda springy colors and kinda fun and flirty. I think, oh I can whip this out in a few minutes and then have plenty of time to shower before church. Fast forward to 8:15 when I should be in the shower or at least in the closet looking for an outfit and I am still in the craft room dealing with this card. Ugh. For the life of me I am not sure why these colors drove me up the wall, and honestly I am not sure if it was actually the colors or if it was just that I had no mojo this morning. So, off to church we went and as soon as we ate after coming home I decided to give it another go. That was at 11:45 central..fast forward {yes, again} to 2:07 central and I am JUST finishing. Oh goodness..I just could not get a good card out of me today. It was so crazy! I have so many card bases lined up and so much wasted supply sitting on the table and in the garbage...lol..I hate mojoless days like this! So, this is what I came up with finally:

I don't know..what do you think?  It's a little plain and a little juvenile, but it's all I had today..lol. ..and there was NO way I wasn't going to post something today! Not after all of that time.  :)

Well, anyway...I hope you guys like it and now it's time for a nap. I have to be back at church for Awana in 2 hours and then we're having a sleepover tonight. Ok, so it's just me, Aaron, and Ava downstairs, but we're watching "Twilight" (time #47!) and "The Simpson's Movie" and "Harry Potter" (which one is up in the air, but whichever one it is it'll be my nth time seeing it..lol), so I wont be resting then. A Warm, Happy, Cheerful hello!

Hi everyone! Well, it's the weekend! It is so nice here in TN this weekend. WE have the windows open and the smell of fresh cut grass, sausage, and money in my pocket for shopping is in the air...LOL! I am just waiting on College GameDay to go off and then we are off to Hollister and Banana Republic - the favorite stores of Ava and I, respectively. I love shopping...

Ok, so anyway, back to today's card. I am participating in the weekly challenges over in the Verve forum on Splitcoaststampers and this week's challenge was to get our inspiration from the Anthropologie website. I decided on this cool graphic pillow:

Isn't that SO cool!? I think I might have to buy that! They have some really cool doorknobs,too!  So, we also had a sketch to follow:

Cute, no?  For some reason the Crushed Curry paper and ink shows up more gold than it really is, but it's very close to the pillow color. :)

Hello and happy Friday!!! Oh goodness...was it just me or was this week EXTRA long? It's always like that the week before a short week, though. I;m just glad it's the weekend!

Today's card features the CUTEST little set from verve called Love Monkey. Do you guys love Twilight? Do you remember the scene (in the movie) where Rosalie calls Emmett her little "monkey man"? lol...that was SO funny. I just love Twilight...seen it 46 times...yeah, I know...pathetic. I've only seen New Moon 28 times and Eclipse just twice, though. Of course once it comes on DVD, there is no telling how many times i'll watch!! Moving right along.... I call Aaron my love monkey (affectionately, of course), so this set was perfect for us! This little guy is just so cute. I created the card for the Verve Something Old, Something New challenge over on the Verve Stamps Blog.  The challenge was to use a stamp from Verve's latest release and one older set. I decided to use Love Monkey (an older set) with Happy Hello (just released in August). The circles on the main card are from Happy Hello and everything else is from Love Monkey!  You should come and play with us...it's so much fun!  Plus one lucky person will get $30 in Verve stamps! You cannot beat that! Anyway..so here is my card:

I tried to make it a little different than my normal card, but as you can see the froo froo ribbon ended up making an appearance. :) I think it's a cute little card and I am  giving it to hubby sometime over the weekend. It's a little Valentine-ish, but it's okay to have Valentine's Day on the first night of college football, right? My two great loves..hubby and Ohio State Football...LOL.

For my "Off the Wall" Grandma...

Hello everyone! Today's card is for my grandmother! Ok, so she isn't off the wall, BUT the challenge is...lol..it's the "Off the Wall Craftiness" challenge. Here are the inspiration picture and colors:

I really had fun with this card. I liked the colors and I tried to make it a fun and girly card..just like my grandmother! Sure, she's old(er), but she is just as sassy as she was when I was a kid and I love her. I hope she likes the card. Obviously, the bow is way too big to mail, so I am going to just include it with my gift in the box. :) Hope you guys like it...

Mojo Jo Jo...

Gosh, do any of you remember the Powerpuff Girls? They had their nemesis Mojo Jo Jo...lol..I used to love that little guy. I know we're not supposed to root for the bad guys, but seriously..how can you not like this little guy:

Ok, well maybe it's just me. Anyway, today's card has nothing to do with the Powerpuff girls..or Monkeys. In fact, it's all about love..ahh, sweet love! :)

I decided to use the Mojo Monday (see that's where the whole mojo jojo reference came in..lol) sketch for this week and make a wedding card with my new Verve and Waltzingmouse stamps. This is my first Waltzingmouse stamp and I love the way it totally works with the nesties (labels 4). Just love it! The colors I thought worked well together and I think the lemon tart grosgrain works very well with the daffodil delight infused dsp from Stampin Up. Gosh...I used a ton of brands today, huh? ;)

I went with square quite honestly because I still cannot figure out how to make the round cards (a little help there anyone??). I love the way it turned out though! Ok, well that's it from me. This post got a little long. I'm a little long winded sometimes...lol. Have a great day!!
